Teacher Training

In Right Wing Revolution, Charlie gives us strategy to “Topple the Education Goliath” by reforming two main areas. The first is financial, the second accreditation. Let’s address the issue of young adults’ dependence on getting a degree from an “accredited” college. Charlie says on page 218, “The most respected jobs in America require a degree. But it doesn’t have to be that way. I’m not saying that education is bad – just the opposite. Education is excellent, but credentialism is toxic...”

“Instead of requiring an expensive degree to hold a job, allow people to show mastery through an apprenticeship, or by simply taking an online, pen-and-paper, or practical test of the relevant skills. If a student can learn the material just as well by tutoring themselves online instead of forking over 100 grand to a cartel, we should let them do so. Encourage such paths by providing funding to apprenticeship programs.”(p. 219) (Emphasis mine.)

“The continuing power of these accreditors is a weapon the left uses for institutional domination. Conservatives should be looking to break it up.“(p. 221) (Again, emphasis mine.)

How can we break this stronghold? I have a proposal for those willing to pioneer.

We could use a system that restores our educational methodology to what America used to have before Horace Mann laid plans to destroy it in the early 1800’s. What if we create a two year program that highlights how the early Americans researched the Scriptures, deduced Biblical principles and applied them to each subject and area of life? What if we teach young adults how to teach each subject using Biblical Worldview Subject Curriculum Guides that would lay out the Biblical Foundations, Scriptures, Principles, Providential Timeline, Scope and Sequence for K-12, how to develop lesson plans, practical how-to’s, and resources for teachers and students for that subject?

My proposal is to offer these 8 courses to high school students and young adults so they can earn a certificate for each course achieved. I believe we can equip world changing student-teachers who love God and can think, learn and teach with a Biblical worldview philosophy and methodology that will supplant woke anti-christ systems to restore to America our Biblical worldview heritage.

We must realize that the public school system is not failing, it is achieving the goals set in the early 1800s to create an education system that would undermine our godly heritage. They have nearly succeeded.

Can we start with an idea, with our Lives, Fortunes and Sacred honor to create a system that will nurture human flourishing through human action based on the Bible? Could we revive an educational reformation clearly founded on God‘s Word and for His glory?

Let’s help young adults in high school and that are coming out of high school that aren’t entrenched in an antichrist, marxist system of teaching. I believe many that are retired can be re-fired when they see a clear vision. I believe a lot of people will join, offering their time and/or their finances. Without this, we may not re-capture our American institutions.

I haven’t seen anything else that is already equipping teachers to teach using a biblical worldview and methodology as much as these curriculum guides do. If there’s something already working, I’m happy to be part of it. But I don’t mind pioneering.

Pioneer from 1828 Noah Webster’s Dictionary: In the art and practice of war, one whose business is to march with or before an army, to repair the road or clear it of obstructions, work at entrenchments, or form mines for destroying an enemy’s works.

This is a clear invitation to “Topple the Education Goliath.”

May God bless the pioneers. We have been blessed to use these guides when I homeschooled my four children and when we hosted our local homeschool co-op. These will equip you to learn and teach a Biblical Worldview, whether you are a teacher, and administrator or a homeschooler.

These courses rebuild our Foundation of each subject in the Word of God to Restore America’s Biblical Heritage to Christian Education using these seven subjects guides: Math, Science, History & Geography, English, Literature, Reading and Art. These are published by FACE (Foundation for American Christian Education). Teachers will be equipped to write truly Biblical worldview curriculum. Many offer it, but few are equipped to deliver! Each text lays out the Biblical Foundations, Scriptures, Principles, Providential Timeline, Scope and Sequence for K-12, how to develop lesson plans, practical how-to’s, and resources for teachers and students for that subject.

What an opportunity this is to not only purge anti-Christ philosophies from our
schools and curricula, but student-teachers will be equipped to lead the way in
offering solid Biblical worldview courses to restore Christian philosophy and
methodology to our education system and to the next generation.

The Renewing the Mind course is an introduction course to Biblical

More Reviews:
This class provided the pace and narrow focus on content, in gradual steps, with modeling, personal encouragement and time to read, think and produce along the way. It was encouraging for me to produce physical evidence of my learning! ~ Cathy Heide

Thanks for providing this online “Renewing the Mind” training. I consider the timing providential for me. Even though I don’t yet fully know if I’m being called to teach actively, I’m feeling a desire to do so and may pursue teaching children if an opportunity is presented. I really appreciate the biblical foundation developed in this course, but if given the opportunity to name
it, I would call it “The heart of a teacher”. I learned a great deal about the Principle Approach. I found most inspiring the applied scripture and quotes from founding fathers. ~ Tim Benton

What I learned from you continues to make me eager for more research into our nation. I am grateful for taking your class because it gave me a deeper understanding and appreciation of God’s Providence. ~ Diane Bourlier

“I believe this class would be helpful in teaching believers how to learn, and clearly articulate God’s call and claim upon them the necessity of girding up their minds for action in the building of God’s Kingdom.” ~ Alfreida Moore

“Why take the class? It will absolutely challenge any ideas you have about what you think education means, what it really is to teach and learn. It will make you think. After all, we are to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, and mind.” ~Lenny Oltmanns

The class and the material encourage me each week and help me want to become a master student myself. I only wish I had found this earlier in my homeschooling, even my public teaching experience sooner. Even so, I thank God for leading me to this class and the FACE group today. It has been an answer to my prayers. Learning at Dr. MacMenamin’s feet is a Blessing. ~ Julie Barnett

“Thank you so much for teaching the Renewing the Mind course. I benefitted from the class learning more about Principle Approach, being able to discuss the different parts and gleaning from the various applications for the methods of Principle Approach and for curriculum resources. I really appreciate you taking time out of your schedule to teach and impart into so many of us!
I also want to say that I really enjoyed learning from you and from everybody else and that I really appreciate all you have done to make things happen and for all your attention. ~ Claudia

~ Pace was calm, friendly, encouraging, enthusiastic and reasonable, with a week between classes to think—research, reason, and relate and record
~ Interaction of a small group with a common heart over time—the teacher and students were free, natural, thoughtful, honest and relaxed
~ Sample work that was provided as models; Brenda and students shared their work as templates and examples to inspire, clarify and direct others
~ Reminders that this is our first time through, so do the other assignment items in future study of the same material—just relax, focus and get started with a small portion
~ Brenda shared her observation of 40-years of experience and what she remembers about how she felt and thought at our stage. We need to think decades, not weeks, for our growth in learning and implementing the Principle Approach. That helped those overwhelmed by the transformation of thinking in which we are engaged to step out and try it, without having to feel perfect even
though we strive for excellence, and have the time to do so.
~Brenda’s manner and style—relaxed, joyful giggle and love for the subject, method of learning and her students—helped calm minds from being overwhelmed by the great urgent need in our culture and the size of our task to learn, comprehend and apply— enabling us to focus on just taking the next step. ~ Cathy Heide

“If you are a new mom that has answered the call to homeschool your kiddos; then this is the class for you. To some capacity we all need to Renew Our Minds to teach God’s way and this class challenges and encourages you to do exactly that.” ~ Whitnee McClain
